This is a single family subdivision in a conservation setting containing upscale homesites.
2003-2005 – This 45-Acre site occupies 13 Acres of the Spring Creek Environmental Corridor. Besides containing the Spring Creek area on one side and an existing subdivision on another, this conservation subdivision also abuts State Trunk and County Highways on the other two sides.
This project contains an interceptor sanitary sewer whose construction was complicated by the presence of bedrock. The required improvements were: sanitary and storm sewers; watermains; curb and gutters; asphalt pavement; stormwater detention facilities; and improvements to the State Trunk Highway to provide for a second access to the project.
To lessen the bedrock impact on building sites, we located the bedrock limits, raised and balanced the site to minimize the bedrock impacts; created building sites with the highest number of partial and full exposures, incorporated three landscaped elliptical cul-de-sacs and using the shot-rock as the base, created a landscaped berm along the South line of the project to buffer the highway. |
